Underline Terms of Use

01Use of the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes, in line with these Terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from.

You agree not to:

• copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the App
• use the App for any unlawful purpose
• try to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the App or its services

02Purchases and subscriptions

Some features may require a one-time purchase or a subscription. Payments are charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel them in your store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.

03Underline Pro

Underline Pro is an optional upgrade sold as a monthly or yearly subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase; all of them unlock the same features. Your books and quotes stay free and unlimited without Pro. A free trial, when offered, is available once to new subscribers: if you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and the price shown at purchase is charged. Prices are shown in the App before you buy. Use "Restore purchases" on the Underline Pro page after reinstalling or on a new device signed in to the same store account.

04Quotes and copyright

The passages you save belong to their authors and publishers. Underline is meant for your personal reading notes. When you share quotes or quote cards, you are responsible for doing so within the limits of copyright law, such as short quotations with credit to the author and book.

05Book information and text recognition

Book details and covers come from Open Library and Google Books and may be incomplete or wrong; covers belong to their publishers and are shown only to help you recognize the book. Text recognized from photos can contain mistakes, so check a quote before you save it.

06Your data and backups

Because your library is stored only on your device, keeping backups is up to you. Uninstalling the App removes your library permanently unless you have a backup file.

07Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy: https://zaustudios.web.app/apps/underline/privacy

08Intellectual property

The App, including its design, text, graphics and code, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any rights to our trademarks or content.

09Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Content in the App is for general information only and is not professional advice. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

11Changes and termination

We may update the App or these Terms at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.

13Apple-specific terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
